The observatory of Public Policies and health, in collaboration with the University of Alicante, carried out an assessment about work ability in association with psycho-social hazards. The aim was to describe work ability and to assess the association between work psycho-social risks, age and work experience with work ability among prisoners. The results revealed that older more experienced workers and workers in large prisons showed significantly lower WAI (Work Ability Index) scores, the results also showed that interventions to improve work ability among prisoners may benefit from this study. The study was published in Occupational Medicine.
